" It was the only units that combined I/O's and A/D with mathematical capabilities as well as a display for that price. .... So far it has been very easy to program and can generate quite powerful programs very quickly "

Imagine, a very low cost palm size PLC with built-in Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) interface, up to 8 -channel A/D Converters (10-bit precision)), 2-Channel D/A converter (8-bit precision), 2-channel Stepper Motor Controllers, 2-channel Pulse Width Modulated outputs (with 10A output on T100MD888+), 4-channel interrupts, 2-channel encoder inputs, 2-channel frequency measurement inputs, Real-Time Clock, 2 independent communication ports (1 RS232   & 1 RS485 network port) that understand MODBUS RTU & ASCII protocols (baud rate from 110 to 500Kbps, programmable comm. format), 24V NPN Digital Inputs and 24V high current Digital Outputs, expandable to 96 inputs and 96 outputs

The T100MD+ PLC’s are incredible value! The arsenal of built-in hardware makes them suitable to tackle the most difficult tasks with great ease. The followings are just a glimpse of its vast capabilities:

Additional I/Os:

a) 24 High Voltage NPN inputs   (24VDC)
+ 16 TTL level inputs (5V active low)

b) 24 High Voltage NPN Outputs (24V 1A DC)
+ 16 TTL Level outputs (5V active high)

Same size as T100MD1616+ - allowing stacking
up and occupying very small footprint.

  •  MX-RTC - Battery-backed Real Timer Clock Module keeps the clock running even when power to PLC is turned OFF.   With this module all internal RAM data can be configured as non-volatile.

In 2001, we have introduced the first PLC software in the world that allows you to remotely program / monitor / control via the Internet using only a web browser!  The Internet TRiLOGI version 5.0 normally works like any other Windows based program, which lets you to program the PLC using a single PC connected to it via the RS232 port. However, because of its client/server-based architecture, you can also program the PLC from other computers on a corporate LAN or any computers on the Internet using a Java web browser. No additional training is required for user to program the PLC via the Internet because they are using the same Window based programming software that they have already mastered during programming in local mode.

Benefits of Internet Connectivity

1.      Remote monitoring, control or updating of PLC programs from anywhere using a web browser. (Username and password access requirements protect the system from unauthorized access)

2.      EMAIL: PLC can automatically send Emails to users upon event occurrence or can be programmed to periodically send production reports, etc.

3.      Excel Link: Automatic linking of data from multiple PLC’s located at multiple sites around the world into an Excel spreadsheet for instant computation of real time process or production data. (Require purchase of TRi-ExcelLink version 1.0 software)

Supports Multiple Communication Protocols

1.       Supports MODBUS protocols. PLC can act either as Modbus slave or Modbus Master.

2.       Supports OMRON C20H PLC protocols. PLC can act either as slave or master.

3.       Supports a proprietary set of ASCII based Host Link commands that allows remote programming or monitoring by MODEM. Password protection allows device to be left unattended at remote location but accessible by dial-in modem.

4.       Compatible with emWare Inc's redball.gif (599 bytes)EMIT 3.0, which provides user-interface via the Internet.

All the above protocols are supported on both the RS232 port and the RS485 port, enabling either point-to-point or multi-drop connections.  From a single client PC, a programmer can remotely program or monitor any  (theoretical max = 256) PLC’s connected to one single server via the RS485 multi-drop network, up to a distance of 4000 fts (1200m) and at baud rate of up to 38.4 Kbps!
